God created each of us for a specific purpose. First and foremost, God created us and has called us to holiness. How that call to holiness is answered depends on the specific vocation He may have for us. Discerning one’s vocation requires one to enter into a life of prayer, participation in the sacramental life of the Church, and seeking out counsel from those who live their vocations well.
Priesthood
The Holy Priesthood was instituted by Jesus Christ so that His presence would ensure in the Church until He comes again. The priesthood, through the individual “yes” of each man called by Jesus makes possible for the people of God to receive the sacraments and be sanctified.
Young men who have interest in learning more about discerning a possible vocation to the priesthood are encouraged to speak to one of our priests or to contact the Diocese of La Crosse Vocation Director, Fr. Nathaniel Kuhn, at the Vocations Office.

Religious Life
Is Jesus calling you to be His bride? Over the centuries, Jesus has called women to belong completely to Him by living the evangelical counsels of poverty, chastity, and obedience within a religious community. In this vocation, women foreshadow the spiritual marriage all human persons will live in the heavenly kingdom. Young women who have the desire to explore giving themselves completely to Jesus are encouraged to speak to one of our priests to receive available resources.

Marriage
The Sacrament of Marriage is the sacred union by which couples seek holiness and bring forth new life and the expansion of the Church. See our Marriage page for details in preparing for marriage.
For those already married, the Church seeks to support you in enriching your marriage. Our parishes currently offer an apostolate called “Domestic Church,” which is a movement born out of Poland, which begins with a weekend retreat and possible participation in small group “circles.” For more information, visit: https://domesticchurchfamilies.com. For more information on its implementation in our parishes, contact Fr. Williams.
